The Night Demon and its Boy - NDBM

I don't have much about these two worked out yet, but the boy, who is half elf, half dragon, was raised by the demon. The demon, while menacing in appearence, is actually reasonably kind... At least, to the boy.
It will defend him more viciously then a mother grizzly bear. While generally standoffish and dark in temperment, the demon will not do anything to hurt its boy. While its wings appear useless and small, they stretch out and get much, much bigger when it needs to fly. The wings change in shape, becoming hige and similarly built to a Flying Fox bat, with the membrane attaching all the way down at the hip.
When the two need to get places quickly, the demon lets the boy climb on its back, and it will fly.
They live in a shady wooded area.
I haven't decided on the demon's gender yet.
